Inspired by the colorful latin American culture, Akiko Takashima
captures the environment's of her own land in colorful, vibrant and rich
paintings.

flowers, dresses and shapes of the the typical Latin American women.
Many variety of colors, as well as the pure perfection in organic
elements".
Her paintings, which are carefully composed, reflect her meticulous eye
and talent for creating a scene.
Fruit Markets, rainforests, routine scenes that involts people, tropical
plants, fruits, vegetables and tabletop objects form rich, colorful
paintings that evolve through many stages, and layers of paint.
Born in Cali, Colombia in 1973,
Her multicultural background from Japan, Europe, South America are often
reflected in her work.
